The creative desk

A tour of the mess where ideas start.

A cluttered artist's desk

My desk is not tidy. It is full of things that have meaning: stickers from friends, prints I have swapped, a toy fox called Mr Pickle.

I used to think I should clear it for clients on calls. Then I realised the mess is part of how I work. It reminds me that design is made by people, not by templates.

If you are working somewhere that feels too tidy, add something strange.

Let's talk

I do my best work on knotty problems, with people who are generous with what they know. If that sounds like your project, I would love to hear about it.
