Geometry builds trust

Why a calm grid is a quiet promise.

A building with geometric screens

Interfaces that follow a clear geometry feel trustworthy before we read a word. Even spacing, honest alignment and a small number of shapes tell people that someone has taken care.

I do not mean everything has to be rigid. The best systems I have worked in have a strict underlying grid and one or two deliberate breaks, which makes the breaks feel meaningful.

If you want to build trust, start with the grid. Everything else rests on it.

Let's talk

I do my best work on knotty problems, with people who are generous with what they know. If that sounds like your project, I would love to hear about it.
